CGS swimmers performed very well at the Ulster Championships which took place on Friday evening and Saturday in Ballymena. On Friday evening Alastair Telfer
won a bronze medal in the highly competitive 100m senior breaststroke final. Thomas Kelly and Heidi Mitchell finished just outside the medals in fourth
place in their respective finals.
On Saturday, Liam Webb reached the final of both the Junior 100m backstroke and freestyle events and qualified for the Ulster Schools training week in
Tenerife next October.
Owen Montgomery and Amber Doake reached the 100m butterfly final in the intermediate section while Charlotte Anderson picked up a bronze medal in the intermediate
backstroke final and Albert Dallas also took bronze in the same event. The intermediate boys relay team of Max McClarty, Owen Montgomery, Albert Dallas
and Liam Webb won silver medals in both the medley and freestyle 200m team events.
