Coleraine Grammar School Admissions Criteria 2024-2025
Each year we admit 156 pupils into Year 8. Pupils are admitted according to our Admissions Criteria and the admissions process is administered by the Transfer Office of the Education Authority. Our Admissions Criteria are renewed annually by our Board of Governors. The Admissions Criteria for entry into Year 8 for September 2024 will be available on 11th January 2024. It is not possible to apply directly to the School for a place in Year 8.
We look forward to welcoming Primary 7 pupils and parent/carers to our Castlerock Road Campus Open Night 6:30pm-9:30pm on 25th January 2024.

Post Primary Admissions September 2024
The Education Authority has confirmed the following timetable of key dates for Post Primary Admissions:
- Admissions criteria live on EA Website and School website – 11th January 2024
- Online Applications open – 30 January 2024 (12 noon)
- Online Applications close – 22 February 2024 (12 noon)
- Notification of outcome of Applications – Saturday 18th May 2024
