Some members of the Coleraine Grammar School Swim Team competed at the recent Swim Ulster Schools Championships 2015 at the Aurora Complex in Bangor. One
swimmer was placed 2nd in both the Junior 100m Breaststroke event and the Year 10 100m Breaststroke event, therefore qualifying for the Ulster Inter-Provincial
Swim Team for the competition against Munster, Connacht and Leinster in May 2016. Another swimmer was in the finals for both Junior 100m Freestyle
and 100m Backstroke.

Coleraine Grammar School continues to build upon the success of swimming in Coleraine High School and Coleraine Academical Institution. Both schools have
been very successful at Ulster and Irish Levels as well as competing at the prestigious Bath Cup in England.

This year two of our pupils travelled to Tenerife in the Autumn for an Ulster Schools Swimming Camp and one has been selected for Ireland. Last year she
was awarded the Sports Bursary for most promising young sportsperson in the Coleraine area by Coleraine Sports Council. In previous years the council
have also awarded our Junior and Senior swimming teams the Sports’ Team of the Year awards.
