On 2nd of June the CGS Surf Club took to the waves for their inaugural surf. 29 Year 8 pupils are participating in a series of Surf Lessons
with Long Life Surf School at Benone throughout the month of June. After the initial struggles of getting into wetsuits, the girls and boys enjoyed
some warm up games on the beach with their friendly and helpful instructors, and then braved the North Atlantic waves, perfecting their skills
of body surfing and body-boarding on the surf boards. All involved thoroughly enjoyed their afternoon splashing in the surf in such a spectacular
location and the pupils’ good manners and enthusiastic participation made them a credit to CGS.
