Introduction to ROTB

This is an exciting new venture for the town of Coleraine being organised by Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council.A new music and dance festival in
the town which will welcome a wealth of local and international festival artisits. The planning for this festival has been in the pipe line for a long
time so to see it come to fruition now is incredible.

The use of the Market Yard as a venue is absolutely genius as it will provide a historic background to celebrate the towns’ heritage and culture. There
have been many suggestions for the use of this space over the years and the Council feel this is a fantastic events space for hosting the likes of
this festival.

The strapline for the festival ‘We’re bringing it all back home’ encapsulates the theme of the festival, the use of the Market Yard and the genre of music
which ranges from traditional, Ulster Scots, Irish Traditional, Folk and much more.

brought it fresh-faced into the 21st Century. The band have toured the world taking their inventive and unique brand of music and light show
to audiences far and wide, never failing to fill the floor and delight the crowd.Be prepared for high octane Scots Celtic music as you’ve never heard

History of the Market Yard

The Market Yard is a historic building which was built in 1829.At this time this would’ve been slightly outside the town surrounded by green fields. The
building itself was fairly substantial in size.It was prestigious building which shows that Coleraine prized itself on its role as a market town.

The market was a place where trading of butter, potatoes, corn, flax, salt and then later cows, pigs and sheep.Farmers and their families came into town
from all over the borough to trade their wares. The animals were herded through the town and brought in through the gate lodge

The Irish Society School came to being around 1860, at this time Coleraine would also have had a workhouse up the Mountsandel Road where the old hospital
was.

The cattle market ceased in early 1980s and the walls have been listed which means they cannot be knocked down or altered.

It’s difficult to imagine now but this would have been a bustling hive of activity. This was not only a market place but a place of social interaction. It
was a meeting place to catch up and have a gossip!

It will kick off with a daytime festival, when over 10 of the North Coast’s finest musicians will perform live in coffee shops, hotels, restaurants across

voice and songs. Eilidh’s relaxed stage presence invites the listener to sit back and enjoy her unique take on life and love. She has released two

and putting emotion into songs will have audiences enthralled.

Toni Whitten:
Toni’s influences include Nirvana, Bright Eyes, Laura Marling, Sheryl Crow and Alanis Morrisette; and has a belief that music that can be a friend during
the best and worst times. She began writing at 13 and playing at various small venues around the North Coast and beyond since age 15.
etown of Bushmills to Hampshire South England escaping the religious conflicts that were going on at the time. After growing up in England I returned to
my roots in Northern Ireland this time settling in the small seaside town of Portstewart in the summer of 2006.

In 2008 I began teaching myself guitar, learning from old chord books and YouTube. Later that year I got my first taste of live music when I joined
a local music community project where I discovered my voice after being told I could sing and was therefor placed in a makeshift band for a live performance
at The Riverside Theatre in County Londonderry. After that show it became clear what I wanted to do with my life.

After falling in and out of bands I decided to go it alone and concentrate my efforts on being a solo artist, playing every gig I could and to anyone
who would listen. In 2012 I digitally released my debut EP entitled, Another Way.

A 3 track EP about the trials and tribulations a teenager goes through. I wrote many of the songs from personal experiences of heartbreak and teenage
angst.

With growing interest for the EP I submitted my work to Fersk Management who approached me to do a short tour of London in February 2013 with help
from IAA Touring, where I went on to play a host of well renowned venues including The Dublin Castle in Camden. I parted ways with the company later
that year.

In 2013/14 I spent an extended amount of time frequently gigging around Newcastle and Sunderland, where I finished writing my second EP K.T. another
3 track EP that is a ‘love story gone wrong’ and a timeline of a relationship.

So that’s my brief (maybe boring) musical history.
Gary Anderson:Coleraine born Guitarist and Singer-songwriter Gary Anderson burst on to the local music with the rock/pop local cover band
Cellar Door. Since then Gary has been performing live all across the North Coast with his band mates in various formats every weekend, from solo act
to a full 4 piece band. Always energetic, with an ability to involve everyone in the room. “Highly energetic, with an intoxicating performance” Barry
White, Vanbar associates
Jack McNaul:
Jack is well-known to North Coast audiences and has established himself as a solo acoustic act having played festivals and venues across NI.
