Open Night Details

The LR campus will be opened to prospective Year 8 pupils and parents, 6:30p.m. - 9:30p.m. on Open Evening Thursday 14th January 2016. Castlerock Road Campus Open Morning Saturday 16th January 2016 from 9.30am

Lodge Road Campus Open Night – Showcasing Teaching & Learning

 

The LR campus will be opened to prospective Year 8 pupils and parents, 6:30p.m. – 9:30p.m. on Open Evening Thursday 14th January 2016.

Members of the Senior Management Team, the Board of Governors, members of staff and school prefects will be present and you will have the opportunity to
tour the school.

Prefects and Ground Staff will be available to show you to a parking area and direct you to the Assembly Hall to hear the Headmaster’s presentation. If
the Hall is full at 6:30p.m., you will be able to begin a guided tour straight away and return to the hall for the second presentation at 7:30p.m.

During the evening you will be able to get a flavour of the activities pupils experience during the course of a school day. Pupils from Key Stage 3 will
be taking part in a number of tasks and your child will have the opportunity to interact with the pupils and ask them questions. The activities are
detailed on a separate sheet.

There will be tea, coffee and refreshments available for pupils and parents throughout the Open evening in the Senior Canteen.

Castlerock Road Campus Open Morning – Showcasing Extra-Curricular & Sports Facilities

 

Castlerock Road Campus Open Morning Saturday 16th January 2016 from 9.30am

Congregate at the Humphreys Hall for a welcome from the Senior Management Team, followed by a tour of the Castlerock Road campus and extra curricular facilities.

The CR campus will be opened to prospective Year 8 pupils and parents, 0930 – 1130 on Open Morning Saturday 16th January 2016.

Members of SMT, the Board of Governors and school prefects along with members of staff who are assisting with sporting activities will be present.

Parents and pupils should park in the quad and meet at the Humphreys Hall for welcome and brief introduction from SMT. Parents will then be provided with
a map of the CR Campus and will be free to begin their tour of the Castlerock Road main teaching campus or make their way across to the Ballycairn
Road playing fields. Prefects will be leading tours of the main campus, beginning at the Humphreys Hall. There will be no teaching staff present in
classrooms.

Various sporting activities are planned for the gym and swimming pool on the main campus and Games Hall and Riverside Pavilion on the Ballycairn Road.

There will be tea, coffee and refreshments available for pupils and parents throughout the Open morning at the Junior Canteen.

Hop on hop off” shuttle school mini-buses will leave the quad throughout the morning, moving up and down to Ballycairn Road playing fields/River
Pavilion to allow pupils and parents to review sporting activities at the Ballycairn Road playing fields.
