Having previously competed in the Senior Bar Mock Competition, Coleraine Grammar took part in the Magistrates Court Mock Trial Competition for pupils
in Year 10. Competing against teams from Limavady Grammar School, St Malachy’s High School, Castlewellan, St Mary’s College, Londonderry and Our
Lady and St Patrick’s College, Knock they took the roles of Barristers, witnesses, clerks, ushers and Magistrates.
Having prepared since September the team proved that hard work pays off. Following a tense wait they were announced as winners of the Coleraine
heat. Having enjoyed the experience of the taster heat the pupils cannot wait until the national competition in March. Thanks to all who participated
and those who supported the team.
