Irish Schools Rowing Championships
Pictures are worth a thousand words and plenty more will follow in due course.
For those of you that like stats here goes:
39 rowers 20 boys and 19 girls made the 600 mile return trip to the Irish Schools Rowing Championships in Limerick this weekend They brought home 26 gold
medals between them plus numerous top three places.
They became the top Ulster School at the Competition and finished in the top ten of all schools throughout Ireland They were supported by 31 travelling
parents, amazing!
Eight rowers the majority boys came straight off a three day gruelling Duke of Edinburgh hike yet still were in the mix during the rowing races.
We are the Irish Schools Champions 2018 in the woman’s under 23 single scull, woman’s under 16 eight, woman under 16 coxed four, woman’s under 15 eight
and woman under 15 double.
I am immensely proud and privileged to be involved with all the athletes, volunteer coaches and parents connected to CGS rowing. Thank you for your efforts.
