Grow Careers Event

Wednesday 20th and Thursday 21st June 2018
In order to promote the wide range of careers in horticulture and floristry, CAFRE is running a “Grow Careers” event on Wednesday 20th and
Thursday 21st June 2018 at Greenmount Campus.
Horticulture and floristry is ideally suited to pupils who want an active, outdoor career and enjoy studying science and / or art and design,There
are great UK and worldwide opportunities for employment in horticulture and floristry, especially at supervisory or management level and for new
business start ups.
Grow Careers is targeted at Year 11 but we would also welcome pupils from years 13 and 14 pupils who may still be undecided about their future. The event will run from 10.30am – 12.30pm each day. Pupils can either purchase lunch in the Cyber Café or bring their own picnic.
The practical, interactive displays include:
- New technologies in plant production
- Garden design
- Managing “green spaces”
- Growing horticulture crops
- Sports Turf Management
- Create a floral masterpiece

demand for this event, bookings will be taken on a first come first serve basis.
