FOOTBALL FINAL REPORT
CGS met Limavady Grammar in the semi-final of the NI Plate competition, played at Coleraine Showgrounds. It was a tight match, as expected from two very strong teams, and it was LGS who broke the deadlock early in the second half from a scramble in the box after a corner. CGS then applied a lot of pressure, but despite a couple of chances from Jack M and a lovely shot in the last.minute from Rory M that hit the bar, LGS held on for a 1-0 win. A great match, with some great performances but an unfortunate loss for CGS. We wish LGS well in the final.
