There were some excellent A Level results this morning at Coleraine Grammar School.
Eighteen pupils achieved three A grades or above at A Level or equivalent with five achieving at least 2A*. Our top pupil achieved an A* in each of her
3 A Levels.
Nineteen of our AS students achieved 3 or more A grades with 9 of these pupils achieving A grades in 4 subjects.
Two of these pupils also decided to sit their A Level Mathematics exam in Y13 and both achieved an A*.
Very impressively, our Year 14 pupils have again been highly successful in securing places in their first choice universities, which include a range of
Russell Group universities such as Durham, Edinburgh, Newcastle, Queen’s, Leeds, Liverpool and Birmingham. Course choices are varied across all disciplines
and include Accountancy, Architecture, Biomedical Science, Business Management, Computer Science, Dentistry, all types of Engineering, English, Food
Science, Geography, Graphic Design, History, Law, Medicine, Music, Nursing, Optometry, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Radiography Sport and Exercise Sciences
and Teaching.
We are delighted that other Y14 pupils have chosen alternative progression pathways and have secured themselves very competitive Higher Level Apprenticeships
with leading NI businesses in IT and Civil Engineering. Also our highly talented violinist, will develop her talent studying music at The Royal Northern
College of Music, Manchester – one of the leading conservatoires in the world.
Our best wishes go to all of our students for whatever the future holds.
