CGS Pupils Are Top of the Bench
The virtual regional heat for the Royal Society of Chemistry ‘Top of the Bench’ Competition for Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils took place on Wednesday 9th February. The competition is designed to encourage and reward high achievement and is an excellent opportunity to showcase talent from the Chemistry Department.
The Chemistry expertise of the pupils was certainly tested by a difficult series of questions which were answered online.
The pupils had to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of practical techniques, balancing equations and environmental issues.
We eagerly await the results to see if the team will progress to the national final event in March 2022.
