On Thursday 20th January 2022, nine of our sixth form students participated in the UK Chemistry Olympiad. This is a particularly challenging competition with the examiner’s report acknowledging that this year’s paper was extremely stretching. I am delighted to report that that three of our students attained Gold awards with a further six receiving Silver. It should be noted how impressive these achievements are when 8668 students from 750 schools sat the paper. Well done to all our students who were prepared to stay for a rigorous 2-hour examination paper after school.
